Unity Mill Darwen 002
b22944. Unity Mill, Lower Darwen was built in 1905 by the Lower Darwen Mill Investment Co. Ltd. The mill was designed by Sames and Green, Blackburn. By 1911 there were 1022 looms. Weaving ended in 1975 and it was taken over by a kitchen Furniture manufacturer. The photograph shows lancashire Kitchens from Branch Road, it was taken 18 December 1980. M. 31 Uni.
