b05168. Steam engine at Vernon and Co. Columbia Mill, Lower Hollin Bank Street. It ia a horizontal cross compound engine. Made by Clayton and Goodfellow in the 1870s. It has 18in and 36in by 4ft Corliss and slide cylinders and is 350 h.p. 45 r.p.m. 100 p.s.i. The photograph was taken in 1956. M. 209.
