Waterfall Mill 002
b22928. Waterfall Mill was built by John Fish in 1851-52. The original building had about 40,000 mule spindles and 600 looms. By the 1890’s there were 73,288 spindles. The weaving shed was rebuilt in 1949-50, and automatic looms installed. The mill now has various uses. The photograph, taken in 1973, shows the mill and to the right and left in the foreground bricked up houses built the first owner John Fish. M. 31 Wat.
