Town Hall Tower Block 011
b04678. The Town Hall Tower Block under construction. The cost of the project at the time was £650,000. The old Town Hall and tower block are connected by an elevated, enclosed footbridge. The tower block is about 198 feet (60 m) high with the top being 545 feet (166 m) 9 inches (23 cm) above sea-level. Since it was built it has been totally re-clad. The cladding as been added to the lower levels of the building. Marks and Spencer is on the left. Date 1st June 1968. D. 5.
