Town Hall Tower Block 006
b04690. The Town Hall Tower Block under construction. The cost of the project at the time was £650,000. The old Town Hall and tower block are connected by an elevated, enclosed footbridge. The tower block is about 198 feet (60 m) high with the top being 545 feet (166 m) 9 inches (23 cm) above sea-level. Since it was built it has been totally re-clad. The building has reached 10 stories. The new multi-story car park is on the left. Date 2nd April 1968. D 52.
