Peppermint Place Refurbishment 002

img0529-026P. Peppermint Place was two separate clubs under the same roof. Each was largely self-contained, and could continue to operate even if the other was closed for any reason. The smaller of the two rooms – Kaleidoscope – underwent a complete refurbishment at the start of 1991, the early stages of which are shown here. This photograph was taken from what would become the middle of the dancefloor, facing the site of the new DJ booth. The photos Refurbishment 014 and 018 were taken from the same spot as work progressed.
