When Kaleidoscope was refurbished in early 1991, the DJ booth moved to a new location at the far corner of the dancefloor, facing the main entrance to the room from the reception area and box office. Previously, the DJ booth had been along the wall which separated Kaleidoscope from the main room next door. Although the new booth was less roomy than what it had replaced, it did have a much better view, allowing the DJ a clear view of almost the entire room.
