Lewis, Thomas Boys 002
b24661. Thomas Boys Lewis was born at Billinge House, Blackburn in 1869. He gifted the Lewis Textile Museum to Blackburn which opend in 1934. He also helped in the preservation of Samlesbury Hall. Thomas died at his home in Whalley in September 1942 aged 73. The image is from a painting by Hilary Coddington Lewis, 1928. G. 4 Lew.
