Golden Lion on Church Street. Seen here with the name of the licensee prominently displayed. Alexander Forbes was licence holder from 1897 to 1925. What is not known is the grand occasion captured in the image of the horse-drawn open carriage.rnThe pub was demolished in June 1958.
