Witton Bridge 001
Wooden bridge over the River Blakewater that connected a path from Buncer Lane (formerly Church Lane) to Redlam. This route fell out of use when Buncer Lane was extended down to Witton Stocks and a junction with Spring Lane and Preston Old Road. The newly laid out Buncer Lane ran behind the bridge where the boys are standing. This site was in the news when a young girl was murdered here.
