Ward Street Mill 003

b22936. Brookhouse Fields Mill, Ward Street was built in 1860 by David Murry. There was limited production after a fire in 1926. The Mill closed in 1930 and was used for various purposes. The Mill was demolished in the mid 1970’s and housing was built on the site. The photograph taken in 1975, at this time all the houses around the mill have already been demolished.. M. 31 War
