Unidentified Class 001

Unidentified class of schoolgirls with their teacher. The photographic convention of the time was for the subject(s) not to smile (see the class teacher) but clearly some of the pupils could not resist. The image was printed on an undated postcard. The two girls in the centre look older so may have been pupil-teachers, which could date the photograph to the 1890s. The only clue we have is the name 'Esther Higginson' written on the reverse, presumably the owner of the photograph. Can you help to identify the school or any of the pupils?
