This Cross Compound Condensing engine is located on the road side near India Mill, Darwen. It is a Horizontal cross compound condensing steam engine. Made by J and E. Woods, Bolton, in early 1900. It has 16in and 30in by 3ft 6in corliss valves and is 350 h.p. 80 r.p.m. 160 p.s.i.
