Paradise Mill 003
This spinning and weaving mill was built in 1846-47, and extended in 1852, by William Ashburn and Thomas Thwaites. In 1856 there were 11,024 throstle spindles, 17,592 mule spindles and 504 looms. 1933 a portion of the mill was demolished, further demolition took place in the 1960's and 1978. rnThis wall is all that remains.
