b23868. Old warehouse in Clayton Street in 1953. This building was of special interest because of its association with John Kay, Blackburn Parish Constable in the 1820's. He took this residence and used it as his lock up, the cells being located in the cellars which can just be seen at footpath height. The warehouse was next door to Messrs. T. and R.C. Radcliffe.
