b05169. Steam engine at M. Munroe's Springfield Mill, Guide. It is a horizontal cross compound. Made by Ashton Frost and Co., Bank Top Foundry Blackburn. It has 17in and 30in by 3ft 6in Corliss and slide valve cylinders and is 500 (?) h.p. 84 r.p.m. 160 p.s.i. It was sold for scrap when the mill shut in 1958. Date of Photograph 1956. M. 209
