Longshaw Mill, Highfield Road.rnThe last cotton mill to be built in Blackburn. Erected by the Longhsaw Mill Co.Ltd., and opened March 1915. The Longshaw Mill Company employed 250 and produced dhooties, mulls and cambrics. Sold to Frederick Textiles Ltd. Production ceased 1956 and in 1960 Blackburn Corporation purchased and renovated the mill. Used for carpet manufacture 1960's,now Blackburn Cord Co. Extended 1974.rnMike Rothwell.
