Eclipse Mill, Feniscowles, 1913 weaving mill of the Eclipse Mill Building Co. Ltd. 625 Lancashire looms, boiler by Yates and Thom, Ashton Frost and Co., Ltd. Leased to Haydock and Duerden of Canterbury Street., later J.H Haydock and Sons Ltd. Following a 1953 amalgamation, Lancashire looms were reduced to 240 and 124 automatics were installed. J.H Haydock and Sons Ltd., wove out in 1967. Later used for the production of tufting machinery, then occupied by a firm of textile accessory makers the Mill has now neen demolished.rnMike Rothwell
