b06084. Commercial Mill, Nova Scotia, Known as the "Brick Factory". Built in 1836-37 by William Eccles. In the 1870 it had 33,505 mule spindles and 809 looms. The mill was burnt down in 1968. The chimney can be seen on the left. Nova Scotia Mill, in the distance started in 1833-34 with weaving ending in 1938. Photograph taken in the 1970's M. 31 Com.
