Bay Horse, Salford, pictured subjected to the flooding which was a frequent occurrence at Salford. In the foreground of the image can be seen the former Salford drinking fountain, having suffered the indignity of conversion to a street lamp.rnThe Bay Horse first opened on the site in 1763, rebuilt in 1846, and later demolished and rebuilt in 1884. rnThe pub finally ceased trading in 1962 and was demolished, the site being acquired by the council.
