Albion Works Mill Livesey. Four story spinning mill George Whitely's Mill, built 1856-58. William Birtwistle was the principal shareholder. The Birtwistle Group closed the Mill in 1975, owing to a shortage of orders. It was later used by a firm of footwear manufacturers. The mill is now demolished
