Corporal, Herbert Read. Two brothers serving in the forces, Frank, R.A.F and Stanley, who is in England, being wounded in Normandy. Employed by Messrs Scapa Dryers Ltd, Blackburn. Attended Bent Street, Ragged School. Died of Wounds 18 July 1944, aged 24.
