1. Howson, John
Corporal John Howson. Although the above cuttining says that he was a prisoner of war this was not the case. The Red Cross, at the request of the family, had made enquires as to his whereabouts but but could find no indication that he had be made a P.O.W. The presumption was, then, that he had been killed. His name is on the Blackburn Roll of Honour and Menin Gate Memorial.
