1. Coupe, Thomas Harold
Second-Lieutenant Thomas Harold Coupe of the East Lancashire Regiment attached to the Royal Flying Corps, killed as a result of an accident. Thomas was an "old boy" of the Grammar School who was active in football, cricket, tennis and one time captain of the "Grasshoppers" football team. He attended Leamington Road Baptist Church and was a member of the Y.M.C.A. Male Voice Choir. Thomas was buried in Mellor.
