1. Cooper, Henry
Private Henry Cooper, Durham Light Infantry, killed in action Henry was formerly a weaver at Whalley Banks Mill and lived at 20, Edmondson Street. Henry was initially prevented from joing the Army due to his height however he wrote a letter to Lord Kitchener noting that he was physically sound and willing to do his duty.
