Private J. B. Coggins of the South Wales Borderers was wounded in action during the fighting in France 13th April, 1918. He was noted to be recovering in Grayingwell War Hospital, Sussex. Private Coggins had previously been employed by Mr John Howson, Woodfold Estate Office, Eanam, Blackburn.
