Trough of Bowland 006

b12963. A row of cottages, miles from anywhere and very exposed on the road at Trough of Bowland. The road is the most direct route between Lancaster and Clitheroe. It was the route taken by the "Pendle witches" to Lancaster Castle for their trial in 1612.
