Lancaster Bypass Opening 001
Lancaster Bypass opened as the second part of the M6, in 1960.The Lancaster and Preston Bypasses where originally two lane with the provision to make a 3rd lane out of a very wide central reservation, the rest of the M6 opened as a 3 lane motorway.
