b04219. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Woods, 70 Eccles Street in October 1957. Retired weavers aged 84 and 82. Mr. Woods started work as a "half timer" at the age of 10 and retired at 72. Mrs Woods also started work as a half timer at 10 and retired at 64. Married for 57 years, Mr Woods was knocked down by a bus in Bolton Road on Saturday, April 4th 1958, and died in the Royal Infirmary on Easter Monday, April 7th, 1958. G. 3 Woo.
