Wesley, John 001
John Wesley always insisted that the Methodist revival movement lay within the boundaries of the established Church of England, although in the early years Wesley was forbidden to preach in many parish churches and Methodists were often persecuted. Wesley later became widely respected and Methodism, despite itself undergoing theological splits and realignments, became a world- wide movement.rnThe present whereabouts of the plaque is unknown.
