Weaving Shed 002
Shed of automatic weaving looms at an unknown Blackburn mill. Each loom has an individual electric motor and a v-belt drive, replacing the old flat belt pulley drives. Note the modern fluorescent lighting. Everything looks clean, with cotton 'fluff' barely in evidence; mostly due to the dust extraction system running the length of the shed. But clearly, the photographer's visit was anticipated.rnb06723 8187
