Unity Mill 002
Unity Mill, Pearson Street, Blackburn. rnWeaving mill of 344 looms, built in 1865 by Thomas Higson and J.E Sharples. Hogson had owned a saw mill adjacent to the site from the early 1850's. The mill was last operated by H. Eastwood and Co Ltd, weaving had ended by 1939. Electrical engineering after 1945, the mill was then converted into industrial units. rnMike Rothwell.
