Town Hall Tower Block 003
b04682. The Town Hall Tower Block under construction. The cost of the project at the time was £650,000. The old Town Hall and tower block are connected by an elevated, enclosed footbridge. The tower block is about 198 feet (60 m) high with the top being 545 feet (166 m) 9 inches (23 cm) above sea-level. Since it was built it has been totally re-clad. Behind the Town Hall is the roof top car park. St. John's Church and Holy Trinity can be seen on the left. Date 2nd January 1968. D 52.
