Tram Accident 001
1926 image of the aftermath of a tram crash near the town centre. The Hoddlesdon tram failed to take a sharp bend at the bottom of Sudell Road and crashed into a billiard hall on Bridge Street. One man was killed and another subsequently died from his injuries. Seven others were injured including the driver and conductor.
