b05940. Proposed model of the Town Centre re-development. Much of this never came to fruition. One of the big features of this model is the segrigation of pedestrians from road traffic. Where pedestrian access across a main road was neccessary , the plan provided elegant foot bridges. The one shown here crosses Ainsworth Street to the Market which was built to a different design.
