b04070. Stanhill was once the home of the inventor of the Spinning Jenny (1770), James Hargreaves or Hargraves c1720-April 1778. When rioters wrecked his house and Jenny he removed to Nottingham and began work there. He died in poverty in Notingham. Date 1920's D. 41 Sta.
