Standard of Unity on Mincing Lane. The Licensee listed in Barrett's 1909 Blackburn Directory was J. Dean. Ceased as a beershop in the early 1920s. In the image seen here, the building is occupied by the National Union of General and Municipal Workers, itself formed in 1924 by the merger of two other trade unions.
