St. Paul's Working Men's Club 001
St Paul's Working Men's Club Members' wives on a day trip c.1925. At that time, women were not permitted full membership, or allowed in the games room. Interestingly, the women are accompanied by children, which is unlikely to have been the case when it was the men's turn for a ride out. rnSeated middle row, far right, with a bag on her knee is Maureen Eddleston's great grandmother, Ann Miller, who lived on Mary Ann St. Standing behind (far right, back row) is Maureen's grandmother Sarah Ann Supple, who lived on Nab Lane. Back Row third right is Sarah Ann's sister Elizabeth Alice Goodier. The boy sat down on the far right is George Alfred Supple, Sarah Ann's son and Maureen's father.
