Spring View Inn 006
Spring View Inn, 2 Haslingden Road. Situated on the corner of Brandy House Brow. Originally opened as a Beerhouse in 1878. Beerhouses were created by an Act of Parliament in 1830 to encourage beer drinking in preference to the consumtion of gin, which was considered to be the greater social evil.
