Sam's Bar on Higher Church Street. First open in 1793 as the Lower Sun (ie lower down Church Street than The Sun public house). Became Sam's Bar c. 1993. Known colloquially as 'Same's Vaults',after a former tenant. Cellar once used as a police lock up. Image taken 25 Jan 2014rn
