Salisbury Mill 001
Salisbury Mill, Ewood. Weaving mill erected 1906 by the Darwen Mill Building Co. Ltd., and leased to the Bank Top Mill Co. Weaving ended 1931-32 was removed. Sold to Robinson Brothers Ltd., yarn dyers and bleachers. Dyeing ended mid 1970's the mill was then used for waste paper. The remains can by seen along the River Darwen. Blackburn Rovers Football Club now occupy the site. rnMike Rothwell.
