Rutherford, John 001

Sir John Rutherford, born Blackburn September 1854. After the death of his father he took over the management of Shaw's brewery, Salford. He was the Mayor of Blackburn in 1888-89. He represented Darwen as a MP from 1895 to 1922, with one short break. He died in London on the 26 February 1932, aged 77. G. 3 Rut.
