Premier Mill Darwen. rnBuilt in 1912 and one of the four mills erected in the town by the Darwen Mill Building Company Ltd. The shed was leased to the Industry Mill Company Ltd of which Arthur Pickup and John Rutherford were the principals. Rutherford was connected with Green and Company of Grindleton. Pickups later became the major sharholders, and ran the mill until its closure. Weaving ended in 1975 and the buildings have since been sub-divided into units. rnMike Rothwell
