Prospect Mill 005
Prospect Mill, Audley. Built 1912 by the Audley Mill Building Co. Ltd. George Burke and associates formed the Propspect Manufacturing Co. Ltd. to operate the mill. After 1933 the Company ran both Prospect and Parkside Mill. 500 employees in 1950's weaving furnishings fabrics, brocades, bespreads, industrial cloth etc. Following the closure of Parkside the mill was completely modernised and re-equipped. rnMike Rothwell.
