Pleasington Priory 012
b04199. Looking at the west door of Pleasington Priory. The Church was erected at the charge of J.F. Butler, and opend on the 24th August 1819. The architect was John Palmer. the entrance is enclosed within a lofty false arch surmounted by an elaborate Catherine Wheel window 15 feet in diameter. Figures of kneeling monks enrich the front on either side of the doorway. J. 1 Ple.
