img0724-036M. Right Said Fred performing their hit single “I’m Too Sexy” at Peppermint Place nightclub in Blackburn on 17th August 1991. The song had gone to number two in the charts that week, and it was destined to remain there for six weeks. Bryan Adams’ “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” – from the film “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves” – was immovable at number one, seeing off all-comers for 16 long weeks. “I’m Too Sexy” was a huge international hit, topping the charts in several countries, and lead singer Richard Fairbrass (pictured here in red) went on to be a joint winner of the ‘Rear of the Year’ competition.
