b04286. John Aspden Ormerod, J.P. John Ormerod was born in Blackburn 1863. He first entered the town council in 1921 as a Liberal In 1927 he became Mayor of Blackburn and held that position until 1929. He was the Mayor when Blackburn Rovers won the cup in 1928. John Ormerod died in April 1947, aged 83 years. G. 3. Orm.
