A packed dancefloor during The Hitman Roadshow at Peppermint Place nightclub in Blackburn on 1st November 1989. The event – for under-18s – was part of a nationwide tour hosted by Pete Waterman. In the bottom left-hand corner can be seen a member of the club’s security staff spraying water mist into the air to help keep the excited crowds cool. Image taken by David Newby.
