February 1989.rnSo named because of its proximity to Blackburn's one and only windmill.rnOn the previous night, the towels had been placed over the pumps for the last time. This image was taken on the Sunday morning around 10.00 am. Two hours later the door and windows were boarded up. The Millstone remained closed until demolition a couple of years later.rn
