b04942. Town Centre Redevelopment, Phase two. There is lots to see in this photograph taken on the 20 October 1971. At the bottom left the county court is dwarfed by the shopping centre. The Market Carpark is full, behind that is Penny Street showing the Odeon Cinema to the right of which is the Fleece Hotel. Further up Penny Street is the Regent Public House on the left, and the Waterloo on the right. Regent Street is at the top left and the Wholesale market runs along it. M. 8
